VintagE

Vintage clothing and accessories are full of class and very iconic. In fashion circles vintage refers to clothing that is more than a decade old. (Mini sequined dresses, long flowing tunics, and cropped Chanel style jackets.) When I think vintage..I think glamour.

Vintage pieces were made to last and some pieces you may buy may cost as much as modern clothing. It's well worth every penny though for a possible one of a kind piece.  The problem that all of us may run into is finding great pieces. I mean it may be old, but no one wants something that is stained and damaged. Here are a few rules to make your shopping experience go alot smoother....after all with vintage shopping you have to be on a mission and keep your eyes open!!!

*Ignore sizes. Vintage clothing sizing is very different from today's sizing.
*Inspect thoroughly before purchasing. Check the outside. inside, zippers, buttons and stitching. We know its vintage but it will cost you extra to get the damaged areas fixed.
*Bargain shop. If the vintage shop is owned by a private owner, try to talk their price down.
*Don't even bother with the shoes. Shoes usually are worn out, so skip footwear.
*Think outside the box and have fun. You can really let your personality shine with fabulous old classic style!!
